The Good City sends out festive greetings for the Gowri-Ganesha habba. We invoke the blessings of the Goddess Gowri and her elephant-headed son, the remover of obstacles and bestower of wisdom, who has arrived this year in a 'green' form.
This 'Green Ganesha' can be worshipped through the year as it morphs into a plant. Made of natural soil and clay, the idol has fillings of cocopeat, manure and seed balls.
After being worshipped during the festival, the idol can be transferred in a tray or a pot to the garden or any open space in the house and watered. A sapling will shoot up in a few days.
The startup behind it, "GrowShareSustain", focusses on food sustainability, they encourage buyers to choose vegetable seeds. Purchasers can also choose to buy, along with the idol, a tray filled with natural red soil and manure.
How about this for a festive miracle?
