We’re launching something new — and we’re genuinely excited about it. For years, we’ve been making books at Raintree Media — the kind that take time, get the details right, and last. We still love that work, and we’re not stopping.But a lot of the most interesting stuff happening in our cities right now doesn’t wait for a book. It’s happening in real time — new ideas, new people, new ways of living and working. We wanted in on that conversation.

So we built The Good City. We like the speed of digital — being able to publish something the moment it matters. But we also got tired of the endless scroll of quick takes that say nothing. We wanted both: immediacy and depth. Stories that are timely, but also worth sitting with.

Features with narrative. Real conversations. Ideas worth your time — by the people shaping our cities. And because good ideas deserve more than a comments section, we’ll be running events too — bringing people together to talk, debate, and actually do something.This is day one.
